I have implemented support for translating arguments using MessageArgumentType.
A build with my changes is available here.
Does this fix your problem?

I'm not sure what you mean by "its broken".

  • In your setup, where is the mod installed?
  • How is it configured?
  • What are doing?
  • What do you expect to happen?
  • What happens instead?

When connecting to a vanilla server using a client with the mod (configured with both a server and client language), chat messages sent by the client, chat messages received by the client and messages sent via /msg seem to be getting translated properly (at least in my test environment).
