Delete Branch "%!s(<nil>)"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?

With this mod installed, the game crashes immediately during startup.
This occurs on both the client and the server, with the same error on both.
I've attached the
latest.log
(from the server; that of the client ismostly the same).

This does not occur with Minecraft 1.19.3 + GoogleChat 0.5.2 + LibJF 3.5.0.
(As an aside, it seems that romanized Japanese (rōmaji) isn't
translated, while standard Japanese (kana) is - the former translates
fine on the Google Translate website, so I'm not sure what the issue
could be?)

Can you confirm that GoogleChat 0.6.1 fixes the crash?
Also: could you provide a testable example case for the translation issue you described? I know nothing about the language.

I know little about Japanese as well, but a friend of mine would like
to invite some speakers of the language to my own server.
They say most of them use rōmaji instead of kana, (e.g. "arigato"
instead of "ありがと"; see below,) since getting the Latin alphabet →
Japanese symbol translator ("IME") is a pain to get working with
Minecraft.
An example of what works vs. what doesn't:
"ありがと" means "thank you" in Japanese.
GoogleChat translates this properly.
The Latin alphabet equivalent of "ありがと" is "arigato".
However, "arigato" is not translated at all when sent in the Minecraft chat.
Both "ありがと" and "arigato" are properly translated to "thank you" when
typed into https://translate.google.com.
Let me know if you need any more info :)
For that string, the Google Translate backend uses this URL for translation, which seems to return "arigato".
When testing the non-mobile UI, it detects the text to be Estonian, not Japanese, so I don't know how you got this to work without manually entering the language.
I think the more economical solution to this would be a client-side mod for romaji->hiragana/katakana replacement.
I have written up a quick but functional prototype for this, which I might publish if you think it would be useful.
I have decided to release the prototype on modrinth (waiting to be approved).
If you have further suggestions, please open a new issue.

I did have the input language manually set to Japanese, yes. I didn't
realize this at the time.
Using the Google Translate website auto-detects "arigato" as Estonian,
as you had observed.
Although, having it set to auto-detect the language and entering
"konichiwa" ("hello") correctly identifies the input as Japanese and
returns the correct translation through the frontend website, but by
editing the URL you sent to submit the same query manually, it fails
to detect the language at all, and returns the input string
("konichiwa") as-is.

Changing "sl=auto" to "sl=jp" makes no difference, either!?
In any case - unfortunately, my goal is to have the translation work
entirely server-side, so a client-side mod wouldn't be of much help in
this case.
That being said, there's already a server-side mod that can convert
rōmaji to kana automatically:

...but, mostly unsurprisingly, it's not compatible with GoogleChat. Oh well.
I don't expect GoogleChat itself to cover the edge case of
interpreting rōmaji to kana, specifically to send to Google Translate,
of course.
Maybe I'll just fork Kanaify myself...
